Sinds 2009 begeleidt Clothilda een aantal hulpbehoeftige mensen. Met deze groep vrouwen heeft ze een coöperatie opgericht met als doel deze 50 mensen te trainen en te helpen een betere toekomst op te bouwen. Zij vraagt voor deze groep van 50 zeer arme vrouwen een startfinanciering voor de aankoop van werktuigen, omheining en planten aan. Door middel van training en opleiding wil deze coöperatie helpen om zelfstandige bedrijven te starten. In 2015 heeft de parochie Sint Franciscus van  Assen, Zuidlaren en Roden het project, in het kader van de vastenactie,  ondersteund.

Tijdens het bezoek van Clothilda in 2016 aan Roden heeft ze o.a. voorlichting gegeven aan het Vrouwen Gilde in Zuidlaren. En tijdens een viering in de parochie van Roden, heeft zij een certificaat aan Pastor Truda de Boer overhandigd van de Bisschop van Bongo, waarin hij de Parochie bedankt voor de ondersteuning.  Hoewel het driejarige project redelijk is geslaagd, lukte het helaas niet om aan alle aanvragen te voldoen binnen de gestelde tijd, omdat er niet 50 maar 120 mensen een aanvraag deden. De GWR heeft daarom extra gelden ter beschikking gesteld voor m.n. een plantage.  Inmiddels zijn de trainingen voltooid en is er een graanschuur gebouwd o.a met behulp van giften van de Stichting Overleven. In deze graanschuur kunnen de vrouwengroepen hun voorraad voedsel e.d opslaan.

De originele aanvraag voor het project luidde als volgt:

The group have been in existences since 2009.

There is cooperation among members with the goal to train fifty community members on:

1. Credit management
2. Group formation/Record keeping
3. Dry season gardening
4. Food banking for food security in the community

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

1. Train needy group members to manage micro credit effectively.
2. Train them on how to stay as a group with good leaders.
3. Train them on how to carry-out dry season garden this dry season.
4. How to carry-out food banking for food security.

Context

This groups have been peasant farmers and livestock rearers for their livelihood; there is high rate of poverty among the majority in the community due to the factors such as low level of formal education or non-formal at all ignorance, lack of alternative employable opportunities e.t.c

Considering their life problem, especially the poverty level among the people, the above group was formed to intervene and minimize these factors affecting the community members negatively and also to ensure judicious utilization and of protection of the normal environment from further degradations.

Still there is a high rate of poverty.

OUTCOMES/IMPACT:

1. The project will help members to come out of poverty.
2. The project will create jobs for the members who will be carry-out dry season gardening.
3. There will be capacity building for members especially with technical experience in the area of record keeping and food banking.
4. There would also be improvement in the nutritional levels of the diets of group members and community members and community members especially women and children who are very venerable to diseases.
5. There will be reduction of women and youth migration to the south.

The activities of the group will include formal/informal

1. Five day formal training of the group on credit management group formation and record keeping.
2. Nursing and transplanting of vegetable seed and seedling.(tomatoes, pepper and okro) management of nurseries.
3. Field management of a vegetable garden.
4. Harvesting and processing and packing of vegetables.
5. How to carry-out food banking storage control of pest and diseases.
